Hi Shayne,  Do you know the realiability of the Remco driveshaft disconnect?   I
know someone who had one installed and has had problems with it.    Is there a
better way?   It seems like Remco is the only company making this product.

I have only seen problems with the driveshaft disconnect when it is improperly installed or is used in a VERY rough environment (gravel roads every other day).  

If the unit is mounted crooked it will wear out the alignment blocks that hold the driveshaft coupling in place or will make it difficult to engage or disengage.  

I have found no problem with the units when they are service on an annual basis as part of the check-up of the towing system.  

Remco is by far the largest manufacturer of this type of product as they have the best reputation when it comes to standing behind they're product during and long after a sale.
