Towing Issues: LandRover Towed and damaged, fog lights, tow trucks

My truck was towed for parking tickets in NYC by Marshal.  When i recovered my
vehicle i noticed some scratches, a puncture to bumper and both fog lights
were broken/pushed in.  Is there any legal action i can take for damages caused.

Well, I guess you got to meet the NYC parking enforcement tow trucks.  
Now I know some information about them, but not everything that I need to know.

The one problem I see, is that they are a City department. Cites have great legal departments which love to make rules and laws holding them harmless for loss or damage in the performance of their jobs.

You can check with them about the damages, but I bet its going to be basically a OH WELL sorry deal with no recourse on your part.  That or something like if you had paid the tickets you would not of been towed and had the damage happen.

I know its aggravating but not sure what else to say.  I would like to know what you find out so that I can help others with problems at a later date.
