Towing Issues: Maximum towing capability of truck, gmc sierra, factory tow

Question
I have a 2006 GMC Sierra crew cab with a factory tow package.  It has the small v-8 engine.  I am looking to buy a travel trailer that is 24 ft and 6000 dry weight can I do it?  What is the maximum weight my truck can tow?

check it out and see what or if that is information on your truck, that or go back and change the information to get your info.

But basic tow capacity is 5000 but can be rated clear up to 10,000..
