Towing Issues: Dinghy towing, 2003 toyota tundra, dinghy towing

Question
A friend asked me if it is safe to tow their 2003
Toyota Tundra behind their RV. It is a stick shift
2 WD, with stock tires. I'm told dinghy towing is
not recommended. My question is why? I thought that as long as the trans. was in neutral it was
safe. Toyota techs. differ about this but offer
no reason for their position.

It does differ from vehicle to vehicle.  In this case, a 2003 Toyota Tundra 2WD with a standard transmission can be towed with the transmission in neutral and no other modifications.
