Towing Issues: Vehicle towing while hazard lights are on, desert hot springs california, desert hot springs

Question
hi i live in desert hot springs, california and have a question about towing policies. i left my car parked with the hazard lights on in a no parking street, in front of my house, for less than an hour the other day while i ran inside my house to get something, when i returned my vehicle was being towed. this is the second time this happens and the first time the company said we didn't have the hazard lights on and we where in violation they charged us $180.00 that time. this last time they charged us $90.00  had our , but why the price change and is this even legal?

Answer
Hazard lights do not mean you can park where you want... They are used to convey the fact that you are broke down and a hazard.

As to the fee difference, in California price depends on how far along the tow truck is in doing the hook up.. Also the police department usually has rates for services and I would image that they called for the tow...

As to legal, I bet it is, after all you said you were in a no parking street and you had parked.
