Towing Issues: My car was towed, police dep, tow company

Hi, sir my car was towed today and i had to pay 260$. It wasnt even 30 mins, i went inside and when i came out the car was gone. After calling i found out that the car was towed at 9:40PM, but they informed the police dep at 10:08PM. Does that make the tow illegal? They did not even wait to be an hour. What should i do to get my money back or can i do anything??

I wonder what the circumstances were that warranted your car being towed. In California, I do believe the minimum is one hour after parking before a vehicle can be towed. I suggest suing the tow company if you think they are in violation of any laws. Good luck.
