Towing Issues: Entry into towing career, tow truck drivers, tow truck driver

Question
Hello, Richard,

I am looking for job possibilities for myself right now, and noticed an add for tow truck drivers, and wanted to know more about the profession, especially what is required to enter into the job field, as I have no truck driving experience, or CDL, etc.

I have thought about driving trucks before, but the catch for me is that a great number of companies in America support things, especially abortion (through Planned Parenthood, mostly) and the homosexual movement, to which I am diametrically morally opposed because I am a Christian, so making my living by transporting goods often times for companies that I cannot morally do business with just wouldn't work for me, unless I truly had no other options, but as far as I know, towing pretty much just involves towing vehicles that have broken down or that are parked illegally, and would therefore have little or no regular connections with companies that I cannot be a part of or work with -- other than towing their broken down vehicles, sometimes, but this leads me to my other important questions:  is towing mostly towing private vehicles, and (perhaps depending on the contract he has with his employer) do tow truck drivers have a say in who they are willing to tow, or will employers fire a tow truck driver who refused to tow certain vehicles for personal reasons?

I am trying to get a feel for what is required to be a tow truck driver, and what kinds of ethical situations I would likely find myself in if I became one.

Thank you very much for your consideration and help,

and may God bless you in the Lord Jesus Christ,

Sincerely,

Nathan

I wish I could honestly answer this question for you, but I really can not.  I understand your thoughts and concerns about doing something for companies who promote things you do not beleive in.

But I think that your beliefs would get in the way of doing the job.

Sorry but thats the best answer that I can give to you.
