Towing Issues: towing a boat behind a 5th wheel, fifth wheel hitch, jet skis

I have 2 jet skis weight incl. trailer weight about 1500lbs.  My 2001 Terry 5th wheel bumper
which is a 4" square, and bolted to the RV frame.   Can I tow my jet skis with a ball hitch u-bolted to this bumper?

Sure.  Wait, did you plan to leave the parking lot?  Then, no.

Fifth wheel bumpers are flimsy by anybody's standards.  They are great for holding a black-water hose, not so good for towing.

I would have a proper receiver hitch bolted (or welded) to the frame of the fifth wheel.  At the same time, they can check to make sure you're not overloading the frame of the trailer or the truck's tow rating or fifth wheel hitch rating.
