Towing Issues: towing excess trailer, 5x8 utility trailer, professional truck driver

Question
In What states can you tow a 5x8 utility trailer behind a 35ft 5th wheel camper?

Answer
Well as much as I would love to answer this question,  I think that a bit of research online under some RV sites might help for towing issues.  I know that I have seen that done in many states over the years.  But I am not sure where to actually find that information... I used to have a site saved which covered towing rules. I do beleive it was a GOOD SAM site where I had that information.

Now one thing to consider is that for each pivot point (hitch attachment point) you will have the potential for the vehicle to start swaying from side to side at times..

It gets compounded with each " TRAILER" . That is why you see the semi trucks with 2 or 3 trailers have sway at times going down the road.  You have a whip effect which can work its way back up the vehicles to the orginal towing vehicle.

Funny thing though to consider is that a professional truck driver who drives about 100,000 miles a year, will have to study and take special tests for an endorsement to be able to " LEGALLY " tow 2 or 3 trailers.

BUT the general motoring public can do it with a normal car license in 99.9 % of the states if I am not mistaken.

Hope that helps
