Towing Issues: False Arrest Towing Fees, small claims court, false arrest

Question
My husband was arrested (& released three hours later) for DUI.
He's diabetic and the tests revealed he was not using any drugs
or alcohol. His motor was towed and the fee to recover it the
next day was $221. Since he broke no law and committed no
traffic violation, is there anyway we can get the $221 back? We're
in California.

Answer
Well I know that in California they have some areas where there is are towing review boards.  They might be able to point you in the right area..

But it does sound like you might be able to at least get something done.  It will most likely be the police making the refunds, as the towing company was directed to do the job by the police.

If you get no where and get no answers there is always small claims court to try and recover the costs ...
