QuestionHello, just bought a new travel trailer, need a vehicle to tow it with; dealer said has to have tow capacity of ~5,000 lbs. Can you advise or point me to a site that can compare vehicles that meet this criteria?
Answerwell with the lack of information here, I am kind of at a loss on real good information. You did not mention if its a pull behind model or a 5th wheel unit.
For a towing capacity of 5000 pounds you will be looking for a 3/4 ton vehicle at least.. Diesel usually is better for mileage and power and durability..
If you have a Camping world close, check them out for information, also a local bookstore might have some magazines on RV living...
Good Sam RV Club has lots of information also, and they have a web site.
