Toyota Repair: Electrical System

I have a 2000 Toyota Camry that runs great. Today I was driving it and my electrical system stopped working. I don't have any instruments No headlights or brake lights turn signal radio door locks and windows will not work. Can you p-lease help me out or where to start? Thanks Ed

I've bee away a couple of days, have you checked the 140A alternator fuse in the fuse box under the hood, have you checked the battery and the cables, check it with a voltmeter to see if it has 12 volts or try to jump start with another car, if that doesn't work there are some fuses blown.
