Toyota Repair: Oil Leak on Toyota Highlander

Hi,

In August, Toyota found oil leaking from the "Transfer case" of my 2008 Highlander and told me it would cost $3,000 to fix. Yesterday, I received a safety/recall notice of oil leaks from the "Engine Oil Cooler Pipe". I am wondering if this could be related? Or are they completely different things.

Hello, those are completely different oil leaks , the oil cooler pipe and the transfer case oil leak are known problems, what I would di is to have the recall on the oil line done, then clean everything up and recheck for the differential/transfer case leak, the oil line leak may be just dripping down.
