Toyota Repair: 95 Camry long crank time

Question
Engine turns over but takes a long time to start when cold or it has been sitting overnight.  Idles fine, does not stall.  Have tried cleaning idle control valve, changed fuel pump, checked spark & changed plugs, changed ignition coil, changd thermostat reset most electrical connections  and am looking at the EGR system next.  Some of these repairs helped it run smoother, but it still has the starting issue.  Can you help? My sister is ready to buy another car if I can't get this fixed for her, but this is a great car except for this glitch & I would love to fix it for her.  Thanks.

Answer
Hello, it may be that the fuel pump is not holding residual pressure either due to a faulty pump or a pressure regulator, the only way to verify this is to connect a fuel pressure gauge and see what the pressure is the next morning, it should hold at about 25 psi overnight with a normal running pressure of around 45psi. If a gauge is not available try replacing the regulator it may be draining the fuel back into the tank. The egr system will not cause this.
