Toyota Repair: OBD 1 or OBD 2

Question
I have a 1995 Toyota Camry.  Need to know which diagnostic tool i need, OBD 1 or OBD 2.

Answer
OBD 2 connector
OBD 2 connector
Hello, OBD 1 does not require a diagnostic tool, the codes can be retrieved by using a short jumper wire in the check connector under the hood and observing the flash pattern of the check engine light, there are some scantools for OBD 1 if it is your case, right about the end of 1994 manufacturers went to OBD 2, look for a diagnostic check connector just below the left side of the dash or behind the coin box/fuse box cover. I'm going to attach a picture of what the obd 2 connector looks like.
