Toyota Repair: my 1994 toyota celica hard starting, toyota celica, compression gauge

i have a 1994 Toyota celica .. i bought few months back worked great .. unforntily it was stolen .. recovered 3 weeks later ..

apone getting my car back would not start spark plugs where out and EFI relay was missing and the main starter 100amp fuse was blown .. top it off ratertor was blown as well ..

i have replaced the relay from factory and the fuse .. put the plugs back in and replaced battery

go to start it cracks over and after cracking over 45-50 times will finally slowly start .. very hard time idling .. i have not tryed to drive it yet ..

any suggestions on how to get my car repaired be greatly helpful

Hello, I think I would check the engine compression before doing anything else, it may have been overheated causing cylinder wall damage, a compression check would also show if the timing is off, possibly jumped timing belt, most autoparts stores can rent you a compression gauge or if you just want to buy one they start around $20.Just remove all spark plugs and insert the gauge and crank the engine 5 or 6 times, you should get a reading of about 160 PSI on each cylinder.
