QUESTION: Sorry for lack of info here. It is a 1992 TOY 4RUNNER w/3.0 L 6 Cylinder. I have just changed out the intake air temperature mass flow meter as the electric fuel pump switch in the magic black box was not working with no pump action. Now I can hear the pump run in the tank when plugged in the other unit but still no fuel pressure showing up at the fuel rail connection. Not sure where to go here.Could be ful pump is turning but not pumping. I recently had the engine ground cable connection go bad as the starter also would not work. Re-grounded engine with new cable and starter kicks in fine. However, when truck went down it felt like it was losing fuel. Got spark etc.

ANSWER: In the diagnostic check connector under the hood check to see if there is voltage to the B+ terminal, if ok put a jumper wire between B+ and FP see if you get fuel pressure and the engine starts.

QUESTION: Ok fuel pump does work and got the engine running and drove it around but will not idle at all. Shuts off as soon as you let off of gas pedal.
Looking for air idle valve or something like that now. I still need to replace air mass flow meter unit as the fuel pump swtich in the magic box is shot. Thanks fro the help so far. Getting there

Answer
Replace the airflow meter and see if the idle returns to normal if not check the air intake hoses between the meter and the throttle body for cracks, this is common, look for any other vacuum hoses that may be disconnected, the idle actually can be adjusted on this engine there is an adjustment screw on the throttle body.
