Toyota Repair: 99 4 runner hard to start after warmed up, sway bar bushings, air control valve

Question
hello,I just recently purchased a 99 4 runner 4x4 with the 3.4l v-6 engine. It has 163,000 miles on it. The 4 runner starts up just fine every morning or i would say when has not been running for an extended period of time. It seems once it has warmed up and i drive to a store for example and return to vehicle within a few minutes or even a 1/2 hour or so it is hard to start. I have to turn the key for an extended period of time to get her running. Sometimes she starts, but dies out. then a few more cranks starts up.. The vehicle runs good with no hesitation once started and runs and drives fine. However I do notice that when stoped at a light she idles a little rough. I have had looked at by 2 different mechanics and they say nothing is wrong. Here is a list of repairs that have been done to vehicle withing last six months if it will help.. Timing belt, new radiator, new water pump, sway bar bushings, front strut inserts/ shock only, rear axle seals w/ new brakes. The previous owner seemed to take care of the vehicle, but i have no way of telling if he did a tune up etc. To add no engine light is on or has come on since i have owned the vehicle. I have invested almost 3,000.00 in repairs so far with new tires inlcuded and paid 5,000.00 for it. I am looking for any advise of what i can do myself before taking it in again and spending more money. Thanks for you help!! IN ADVANCE

Answer
Try removing the throttle body from the air intake chamber, remove the idle air control valve then clean both the throttle body and the idle air control valve, using air intake cleaner and a brush to remove the carbon deposits, make sure the control valve can be opened and returns back to almost closed position, re assemble everything, see if that helps.
