Toyota Repair: 2000 Toyota Sienna, fuse panel, interior dome

Question
A couple of weeks ago the door lights started flashing when the door was opened. About a week ago when the ignition switch was turned there was a rapid beeping noise in addition to the flashing lights. Last night someone told my wife both tail lights and one of the brake lights were not working. My wife said the interior dome lights have also stopped working. Are the flashing lights and beeping a warning that the tail lights are out? The mini van has close to 200,000 miles on it.

Answer
No the brake light problem would not cause the beeping and the other lights to not work.
I would recommend checking all the fuses under the hood and on the inside fuse panel at the left lower dash, this sounds like it's time consuming but I would pull each fuse and check for signs of corrosion or bad contacts, do this for all relays as well, espcially the ones under the hood.Check and replace any burned out bulbs and check the sockets for overheating or corrosion. If nothing like that can be found there is a more serious electrical problem and you may have to get the dealer involved
