Toyota Repair: Toyota sequoia 2009, toyota sequoia, compressor clutch

My air conditioner makes a loud noise then shuts off....I can feel cool air when it comes on...then pops off....do I need a new compressor my car only has 63000 miles on it ....seems a little fast to have to replace air conditionerr motor...

Hello you would have to look at the compressor to see if it stops turning when this happens, try letting it idle and see where the noise is coming from, it may be a bad compressor clutch, if there was no noise I would suspect that it's low on freon but the noise indiacates a mechanical problem.
