Toyota Repair: Toyota 2011 Tacoma pre runner, steady trickle, drive shaft

Question
2 WHEEL DRIVE I HAD A DRIVE SHAFT DISCONNECT INSTALLED ON A NEW 2011 TOYOTA
TACOMA V/6 PRE-RUNNER ACCESS CAB.
CAN I CHECK THE TRANS FLUID LEVEL MYSELF, BY REMOVING THE
ALLEN PLUG? USED TO BUILD FORDS AT ASSEMBLY PLANT. I AM NO GREEN
HEAD.   THANKS  I DID NOT WANT TO VOID ANY WARRANTY.

Answer
Yes you can check the fluid this way the fluid has to be at operating temperature, this may take about 15 minutes after the engine warms up, when removing the plug if no fluid comes out the level is too low, add fluid through the 24 mm fill plug on the side until it just trickles out, the same for checking the fluid, a steady trickle of fluid is the correct level. Be sure to only use WS fluid.
