Toyota Repair: 1996 Toyota Camry, toyota camry, battery connectors

Question
I had just replaced my battery connectors on the positive and negative. The car starts perfectly fine now but when I am driving the car tries to stop, it will jerk. It's not backfiring or anything because my spark plugs are fine. Do I have to have my computer system reset in order for my car to run right?

Answer
Hello, no the computer does not need to be reset after disconnecting the battery, when this happens does the check engine light turn on? You may also consider having the alternator tested, most autoparts stores like autozone offer this service at no charge.
