Toyota Repair: seat belt repair., belt buckle, drivers seat

Question
Hi Ted! I have a 99 Corolla. The drivers seat belt buckle(inner side with locking mechanism) relaesa button will not pop back up as it  should when depressed.Almost feels like a spring broke. There is week spring which will pop up the button if you play with it.The tongue cannot be inserted without depressing the button. Is there a repair or parts I can buy or do I go and find a used one at the  wreckers? Thanks Mark

Answer
First check to see if anything is stuck in there, I have seen coins get in there, especially if there are kids in the car frequently, if nothing is in there or you can't get it out the buckle has to be replaced, there are no parts made for it and it can not be taken apart without braking it.
