Toyota Repair: 94 4runner start issue, fuse box, 3 out of 4

Question
switch
switch
Okay, Ted.  I recently purchased a 94 4runner with the 3.0L V6 in it. It is 4wheel drive and automatic. It is fully stock as far as I know.  I have these issues up until today: When accelerating sometimes the radio goes off for a split second and then turns back on. The lights dim and brighten depending on acceleration. The automatic door locks don't always work, sometimes only lock 3 out of 4 doors.  Also, the engine seems to have no power and acceleration, especially up hills, is nonexistent.  The engine doesn't downshift when it should when it is bogging down.
Those problems are not necessarily needed immediate fixes though. My issue today was...: It drove fine all day, I got home to grab my swimsuit and went back outside to turn it on and it wouldn't even try to start. after I tried several times, the red alarm light on the dash to the right of the ignition went off, flashing in series of 3.  It started clicking as if I had the hazards on but no exterior lights were on.  I looked under the dash and there is a silver on off toggle switch near the fuse box and I tried turning it on and off several times.  There were also 3 sets of wires that were disconnected from each other.  I re-connected them and the car started beeping and still wouldn't turn on. I messed with these wires and the switch for an hour and got no results. I live in an extremely safe neighborhood and my car was locked so I know no one disconnected the wires or tried to mess with it.  Also, I believe those wires were disconnected since I bought it, and it has never had any prior trouble.  I would like to know how to troubleshoot it or any potential fixes before I bring it in to the dealership. Any help is appreciated in advance.  Thank you.

Answer
That switch is for an aftermarket add on alarm system that is malfunctioning, a visit to the dealer may not be necessary, any specialty shop that installs alarms can remove the entire system and restore it back to original in about an hour, this may be less expensive than having the dealer do it.
