Toyota Repair: alarm keeps going off, subaru outback, toyota repair

I know you specialize in Toyota repair, but my handicap brother has a 2005 subaru outback and there is no expert for that car.  This is a general question that I am hoping you may be able to answer.  His alarm keeps going off on his car and draining his battery.  Several times it has been parked in his garage and the alarm goes off.  He is in a wheelchair and has been stranded with a dead battery several times. He has called the dealership, etc and they have no answer to offer.  Can he have it disconnected somehow?  Thank you in advance for any assistance you may offer.

It's probably an aftermarket add on alarm, yes it can be disconnected, most automotive alarm shops can do this for you at a small cost of around $50, tell them to remove the alarm components and restore the ignition system to it's original state, doing this takes about 1/2 hour or so.
