Toyota Repair: 2011 avalon wind noise t-tt-0065-10, column issue, toyota service

Question
What ever happened to this issue?  I just called Toyota and they say this is an invalid number. Is this the real number? I see a a mention to contact TAS.  Toyota Auto Service? In any case, it is VERY real, wind noise on the door for is aweful.

And to that end, what standard is used for wind noise?  I get in the car, like all my other cars, and hear the Avalon noise.  I don't hear the wind in other Toyotas we own(3).  But the dealer service says they can't hear it.

I don't trust Toyota service any longer.  They could not 'find' my safety issue of a moving steering column issue that forced them, only through escalation, to realize the stearing column was moving/clicking.  I only got them to look more carefully after I went to an outside (non toyota) mechanic who found it IMMMEDITELY and told me the part number.  Toyota STILL would not replace it.  4 more days in the shop to FINALLY fix it and would NOT refund my money spent to ENFORCE THE WARRANTY. Bad faith on Toyota's part.

So, in dealing with Toyota, how can a consumer battle a subjective issue like the severity of wind noise.  They say they 'spray it with a hose' and if it doesn't leak, no problem. PERIOD.  I need some guidance on how to get them to step up to the problem.  As of today, they say there is NO INFORMATION for the dealers on any 2011 Wind Noise issue....sigh

Consumers need protection here...
Thanks...

Answer
There are a couple of choices you have, locate another dealer who is willing to help or contact toyota's customer service either online or by phone, a complaint that can not be resolved at the dealer may require an appointment with a TFS (technical field service) specialist, the dealer can request an appointment for you and the tfs will determine if there is an issue and instruct the dealer what actions to take to resovle this.
