Toyota Repair: codes p0401 and p0446, toyota camary, p0401

i have a 98 toyota camary that reads the following codes p0401 and p0446 what could be the problem and will i pass my emission test with the engine light on?

In most stes it will not pass because the engine light is on, these two codes are not related, the P0401 is an EGR malfuction, most likely the EGR modulator valve attached to the EGR valve. The code P0446 is an evap system leak, the most common cause for this is a loose, missing or not sealing properly gas cap. The codes can be cleared by disconnecting the battery for about one minute.
