Toyota Repair: 93 camry v6 radiator fan, electric solenoid, camry v6

Question
The fan spins at a low rpm when idling. I don't hear it go any faster when engine temp gets a little above normal. Any way to check to see if there is something wrong? I flushed out the cooling system and added new antifreeze. Car ran fine at freeway speeds but started to overheat at street speed.

Answer
I believe this model has the hydraulic cooling fan which is run by pressure off the power steering pump, there is an electric solenoid mounted on top of the steering pump that regulates pressure and so the fan speed, a lot of times the electrical connector on the solenoid is  disconnected, make sure the connector is on.
