Toyota Repair: 98 Camry freon, freon r12, r 134 freon

94 Camry, what kind of freon (R12 or R123) to recharge ?
Can I use houeshold AC unit freon (R12-green tank) to recharge?
Is it on the low pressure side to recharge and how much (PSI) to add?

You can only use automotive freon. I 1994 most car makers switched over to the R-134 freon, the way to tell which freon it uses is to look at the service ports, the R-12 system has threads on the outside of the filling valves the R-134 ports are smooth with a lock ring around them for the fitting to connect, always add freon on the low pressure side,the low side pipes are always bigger than the hi side.
