Toyota Repair: corolla window motor, electrical connector, bottom side

Question
I have to replace the window motor on my 2000 corolla, driver side.
1. do i have to replace the whole regulator. some web sites suggest it's possible to replace just the motor.
2. if i have to replace the regulator, how do i get it out? the only opening that looks big enough is behind a removable plate on the left bottom side.

Answer
Yes that's the only opening to get the regulator out, both regulator and motor are removed together, at that time you will notice if the regulator is bad and needs to be replaced as well, to get the assembly out yopu need to remove the glass from the regulator, there are two 10mm bolts on the brackets that hold the glass on, after removing the glass keep it in the up position, collapse the regulator to make it as narrow as possible then remove al 10mm bolts and the electrical connector, the regulator can then be removed through the opening.
