Toyota Repair: idle, air intake system, battery cables

i removed the battery cables to clean them and reinstalled them now the engine will not idle

Answer
This usually happens because the throttle body has a lot of carbon build up on the inside, the throttle body should be cleaned, you can do this yourself by removing the intake hose from the throttle body and blocking the throttle open and cleaning it with a brush and some air intake system cleaner from the autoparts store.
