Toyota Repair: find tdc without the belt on, crank pulley, pulley bolt

hi there,replacing my timing belt on toyota avalon 97.everything went well besides the crank pulley bolt who was extremely tight, and removing the camshaft sprockets they turn on me.tried to alignt them individually (timing belt is already off,by the way)but, seems really hard to turn and don't want to do a mess. questions : how do alignt the timing marks without the belt on ? do i have to remove valves covers in order to acomplished? please be mi hero and answerme.................have a good one...

The timing belt sprockets have notches on the edges, line them up with the dimples on the sheet metal backing, temporarely install the lower cover and the crank pulley and rotate it to TDC lining up the mark with the zero mark on the cover. The engine is now at #1 TDC
