Toyota Repair: Where is the transmission deep stick., 2008 toyota tacoma, bottom pan

Question
This is 2008 Toyota Tacoma 2x4, 35k, automatic, v6, rear wheel driver. I can not locate the trans. deep stick(red) but I do locate the trans. plug but there are 2 of them on bottom pan, one 12mm and one about 6 or 8 ilenwrench. Thank you very much in advance.

Answer
On this model there is no dipstick, the transmission fluid is not serviced until about 90,000 miles, the fluid is changed by draining it at the 14mm plug and filled on the side on the tailshaft 24mm plug, it requires a special procedure which involves bring the transmission temperature to about 115 degrees F, the small allen plug is used to check the fluid, when the plug is removed a small amount of fluid should come out, this means the fluid level is correct, this is checked with the transmission at the correct temperature and the engine idling in neutral.
Also keep in mind that it uses the 'world standard' WS type fluid, normal ATF can not be used.
