Toyota Repair: fuel injector cleaning, mr2 spyder, fuel injector cleaning

I have a 2000 MR2 Spyder with 52,000 original miles. I bought it with 25,000 miles on it and have never had the fuel injectors cleaned. I also don't have a record of it being done by the previous owner. Should it be preformed because the car is 10 years old even though the miles are at 52k not 90k. What is the recommendation for this vehicle?

Toyota doesn't have a recommendation as to when fuel injectors need to be cleaned, it's up to you. Personally I don't see much need to do it at this mileage and besides, all they do is inject some chemical into the throttle body and put a can of fuel treatment in the gas tank. In my opinion if you use a decent grade of fuel it is unessary.
