Toyota Repair: 1995 3.0 timing marks., crank pulley, center holes

Question
I replaced the water pump and timing belt on my 1995 4runner with the 3.0 v6. We I started it,it would idle fine and rev. When I put it in reverse to back out of the shop it started running poorly. I pulled it back in and it idled fine. I pulled the timing cover back off and it appeared to be 1 tooth off on the crank. I retimed the cams and crank and it ran the same. My question is, is there different timing marks on the cams or backing plate that I may have missed? I marked the original belt to the cams and backing plates and they do not appear to be the same as when you use the timing marks on the backing plates and crank.

Answer
With the crank pulley notch lined up with the zero mark on the cover the cam pulley notches should line up with the dimples on the sheet metal cover and the dowel pins pointing up, check to make sure that the dowel pins on the front of the cams are in the center holes on both cams.
