Toyota Repair: 91 4runner trasmission prob., fuel pump filter, dash flashes

1991 4runner w/v6 4wd, been sitting 2 years.  replaced fuel pump & filter, got started, but transmission bogging down when taking off in drive (like pulling HEAVY trailer). does not seem to be as bad in L thru D progression.  also, o/d light on dash flashes.  pleas help, dont know what to do next.

Locate the diagnostic check connector under the hood, it should be near the right side fender, open the cover, there is a connector diagram inside the cover, with the key on and the O/D switch on put a small jumper wire between the diagnostic connector terminals TE1 and E1, the O/D OFF light should start flashing a code number, count the number of blinks, for example a code 42 would be four blinks followed by two, let it repeat a few times to be sure, there may be more than one code, let me know what you find.
