Toyota Repair: light for shift pattern indicator, illumination lights, interior illumination

My letters on my shift pattern indicator are not lighting up,ive looked through the manual and can't seem to find out if the work by a fuse or a bulb,its a 92 4runner,thanks

If the resty of the interior illumination lights,a/c heater controls, are working it's not a fuse, the bulb in the console is burned out, the center console plastic trim pieces have to be removed then the bulb can be replaced on the bottom of the shifter console. The bulb is smal and housed in a plastic socket that untwists on the left side under the shifter.
