Toyota Repair: 1998 Camry 4 cyl. engine dies st stop signs and lights, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
My 1998 Camry 4 cylinder engine dies at lights while sitting. Does not do all the time though.  Then is very hard to start. Just cranks and cranks. Eventually it will start. I sometimes smell sulfur. I'm not sure if it is a fuel filter, fuel pump, Mass air flow sensor, catalytic converter or what.  Car has 145,000 miles but the engine has 50,000 miles. It has an automatic transmission which was replaced when the engine was put into the car before I bought it a few months ago. No repairs have been done to try to correct this problem yet since I have owned it, as I don't know where to begin. Can you help me?

Answer
The problem may be the idle air control valve, it's located on the throttle body which has to be removed to get the IAC valve off, once it's removed the valve and the throttle body can be cleaned using an intake cleaner and a brush to remove all carbon deposits.
