Toyota Repair: Toyota starting problems, air flow sensor, metal fuel

Question
I have a 93 Toyota pickup, 3 later v6. 4x4.
Runs fine and will always start cold. Intermittent starting problem when hot. Some times it starts other times it won't, lately not starting hot more times then not, has gotten progressively worse over last three years. It turns over fine, has spark and gas pressure. I checked the injectors and they are pulsing. Check air box air flow sensor and tests good according to the manual. It runs fine warm and never stalls or shows any sign of a problem till it is shut off and then it won't start, usually I have to wait about 1/2 hour then it just starts up like there is nothing wrong. Some times when I'm cranking it over to try and start it a terrible smell comes out the exhaust, almost a kerosene smell.

Answer
It may have a leaking cold start injector, it's located on the intake chamber on the right side, it has a small metal fuel line and an electrical connector, remove the injector and plug the opening and see if the starting problem stops, check the injector for leakage it should stop as soon as the engine starts, if it keeps dripping after the engine is shut off replace the cold start injector.
