Toyota Repair: 2004 Highlander Running Lights, digital multimeter, running lights

Question
I just noticed that my running lights do not work. Interesting though, I notice
when I go from the headlights off to on, I can see that one running light comes
on briefly then the headlights go on. No accident or worked done on the vehicle
lately.
Thanks!

Answer
When you say running lights are you referring to the lights on the valance?  Some Toyotas integrate the running lights with the headlights, i.e. one headlight acting as a DRL set to lower voltage, then set to normal voltage it acts as the headlight.
If they are seperate then it sounds like a loose wire and / burnt out bulb.  Check the wires for integrity.  See if you are getting proper voltage (using Digital multimeter).

Hope this helps.
