Toyota Repair: Landcruiser 1998 1FZ-FE 4.5 EFi OBD, air pollution laws, obdii

Hi, I am an avid DIY person and want to check the OBD diagnostic on the car. I can not find any info as to the required diagnostic tool M-OBD, OBD-I or OBD-II required to perform this function. Further more I want to see how good a job the dual fuel Petrol/LPG convertion was done. Where can I get Toyota ECU software or after-market tools/software to alter the ECM mapping? Any help will be appreciated.

Any OBDII compliant diagnsotic tool will allow you to retrieve codes. I do not have any information for software etc to alter the factory setting of the ecm, toyota does not have anything because of strictly governed air pollution laws, any modifications to the ECM in the US must be EPA approved, that's not to say there may not be aftermarket products but I do not have such information available.
