Toyota Repair: 2001 Toyota Corolla EVAP Cannister, toyota corolla, jackstands

I am attempting to remove evaporation canister and replace it on 2001 Toyota Corolla. Gave me P0440 CODE.The canister is located on the underside of the car between the gas tank and muffler. Replacing this evap canister is not hard but it is uncomfortable because you're lying on your back looking up (unless of course you have a hoist - which I don't) Pls give me some advice, any trick how to remove it. Buy a pair of jackstands and a jack.  Hoist the car up to allow the rear wheels to hang down.  Place the jackstands on a substantial portion of the frame / unibody and lower the vehicle onto them.  This is the simplest way; and besides, you'll probably need the hoist and stands again to do your regular preventative maintenance.
