Toyota Repair: 07 Avalon Electrical Problem, north america headquarters, dash lights

Question
Having on and off again problems with Avalon not turning over, won't start. Car has 50,000 miles. First time I jumped it off and took it to the dealer.  They reported that battery, alternator , voltage regulator were all fine.  Next time it happened they said the battery was bad and replaced it.  Last week the accessories (headlamps, radio, air conditioner & dash lights) all turned on by themselves while the car sat in the driveway.  Today the battery is dead again  and when charging it with a charger some of the dash lights were dimmly on.  The courtesy lights underneath the door were flashing on and off when the door was opened.  The charger reached 59% stayed there for a long time and then the charger diplay read "bad".  I stopped charging the battery and had it towed.  I've explained to the dealership that the problem goes deeper than just a bad 3 month old battery.  They continue to act like they don't believe me.  Any ideas?

Answer
You have an electrical short somewhere.  If this car is still under warranty, have the dealer keep your car until they figure it out.  Make sure they give you a replacement vehicle in the meantime.
If they balk, contact Toyota North America headquarters.  They are very interested in keeping their customers happy, especially after this last years PR nightmare.
