Toyota Repair: white smoke, deatails, white smoke

just purchased 2001 Toyota sienna thick white smoke from tail pipe. took back
to dealer for repairs. it's still smoking not as heavy but every star up and
sometimes while driving. what the next step to take?

It should be checked for a possible blown headgasket, white smoke (steam) is usually caused by a leaking headgasket which can be a very expensive repair, the seller should take responibility for this and repair it for you but then, I don't know the deatails and conditions of the sale, I would try to back out of the deal if possible, this sounds like it may become a major headache.
