Toyota Repair: confused......, 30 amp fuse, brake light switch

Question
I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla that i was driving today and i lost electrical power. No speedometer, no radio, no ac, wiper-blades, DRL's or entire instrument panel. I pulled over and parked it thinking i could turn it off and restart it, and all would be good. Instead when i turned the car back on i could not shift out of park. We used the emergency switch to get it in gear and get it home. The brake lights work and the head lights work when we turn them on. So it cant be the brake-light switch. We have checked every fuse we can find, and even opened up the steering panel. We have a pink 30 amp fuse that looks corroded, could that be our problem, or could this be more serious?

Answer
Usually the larger fuses like this 30A fuse supply power to a few circuits, so yes that fuse could be the problem, try to either clean it and the socket it goes into and see if that solves the problem, if not let me know what this fuse is called, the designations are listed in the fuse cover, it would also help if there is a 12volt testlight or voltmeter available.
