Toyota Repair: 2003 Avalon stalls, wont idle., 2003 toyota avalon, air control valve

2003 Toyota Avalon V6 will not idle, will run if gas is slightly pressed. Was running fine, problem started after shutting off and trying to restart.

Answer
A common problem is that the idle air control valve sticks, the IAC can be removed and cleaned, it's attached to the throttle body, in some cases of severe sticking of the valve it may need to be replaced, the throttle body should be cleaned at the same time.
