Toyota Repair: window problem, switch buttons, master switch

Question
Ted, you are a prince to have devoted so much of your time to this forum. Thank you !  I have a '96 Camry wagon, and my rear passenger's-side window will go down, but will not come up.  After repeated tries, using door AND master switch buttons, I gave up.  The car sat with the space covered with plastic for a couple of weeks, then the window responded and closed after another attempt via master switch.  Spooky ?

Answer
Most of the time the problem is a faulty window motor, the door panel can be removed to test the motor by disconnecting the connector from the motor and then applying battery voltage and ground to either terminals then reversing the connections, the motor should respond by either going up or down and when reversing the connections it will go the other way(either up or down).
