Toyota Repair: flickering oil light, oil pressure sending unit, toyota rav4

i have a 2002 toyota rav4 the oil light starts flickering on and off once the car warms up there is no unusual noise from the engine or loss of power what are some possible problems

It may be a malfunctioning oil pressure sending unit so I would try replacing it then see what happens, if it still acts nthe same way the oil pressure should be checked by connecting a pressure gauge designed for this purpose, if the pressure is low then there may be a restriction in the oil pump pickup screen inside the oil pan.
