Toyota Repair: front door (passenger), window switch, plastic covers

Question
my wife 1997 camry passenger door will not open, it began as opening from the inside and would not from the outside. Recently it evolved to the point it would not even open from the inside.Im certain the plastic clips that hold the rods are broken in the linkage that makes it all happen. My question: How do I get the door open to take off panel? I have the panel off somewhat but to no avail being able to do anything positive. I have limited vision and work space inside the panel, what or how can I successfully get the door open at this point? from there I believe I will be OK.. Thanks (or successfully remove panel w/out opening door )

Answer
it makes it a little easier to remove the plastic scuff plate on the bottom door sill, also remove the center upper pillar and the bottom center plastic trim piece, they should just pull off the retainers. Look for plastic covers in the armrest there are screws behind them, remove the screw on the inner door handle, pull out the window switch, the panel is mostly held on with plastic clips around the outside edges. Pop the panel loose from the door using a large screwdriver, when it's loose pull the bottom inwards while pushing up on the panel.By tne way, it helps a lot and gives moore room if the seat can be removed first.
