Toyota Repair: Brake Warning Light, rear drum brakes, brake warning light

Question
I rarely use my emergency brakes but when my boyfriend drove my car over the holidays, he did routinely.  Very shortly afterward I noticed the BRAKE dash light comes on sporadically, sometimes for only a minute, other times for the drive duration.  I checked the fluid, and while not at MAX, it was within the MIN/MAX area. Also, sometimes when I take my foot off accelerator it actually feels like the car brakes, not just slows as is normally expected.  What do you think might be happening?  Thanks for your reply.

Answer
It's possible that the car was driven with the parking brake on, have the rear brakes checked for any signs of overheating, fill the fluid to the max line, if it has rear drum brakes they may be dragging causing the feeling that the car is braking without applying the brakes.
